Treasure Shoebox

Making a treasure shoebox will be a fun way for your child to give an old shoebox a little life. Your kids can decorate these in so many different ways!

What you need to make a Treasure Shoebox...

  • construction paper
  • markers
  • paint
  • glue
  • glitter
  • crayons
  • googly eyes
  • stickers
  • lace
  • doilies
  • shells
  • small, pretty stones

Instructions:

Have your child decorate an old shoe box and lid any way he or she so chooses. Be sure that he or she writes their name inside the lid!

This is an easy craft, with no 'rules' to follow, making it a great activity for pre-schoolers who can let their imaginations run wild!

This box is great for treasures found out in the yard, on the way home from school or daycare, or anywhere else your children "hunt". Your child will have lots of fun looking for things to keep in their treasure box!
