Potted Garden

Potted garden crafts are so easy for kids and parents to make together. My children love to plant anything and watch it grow and they have learned a lot about plant care by making these!

Get creative with your pots - let the kids paint what they want on them. They will love it!

What you will need to make a Potted Garden...

  • a plastic plant pot
  • pebbles
  • potting mix
  • small plant
  • plastic glue
  • decorative items (buttons, shells, glitter)
  • acrylic paints

Put some pebbles in the bottom of the pot or container - this helps the extra water drain out of the pot and keeps dirt from falling out of the little hole or holes in the base.

Next, add a thin layer of dirt on top of the seeds of your choice.

Place the pot in a sunny location, like a windowsill, and mist it with a spray bottle so it gets a little shower of water.

Now, wait and watch your plants grow!
