Show your Festive Side with Holiday Crafts!
To kids, a holiday may mean "No School"! For grownups, it can mean a time off from work.
Some holidays are for honoring a special person, or for remembering something that happened long ago. Other holidays are for worship, and some are just for play and having fun.
Everywhere in the world a holiday is a special time to celebrate. If you take the word "holiday" apart, you have two words, "holi" and "day," or holy day. Long ago, all holidays were for celebrating something holy. But now, holidays are days for celebrating other things, too.
Pick Your Holiday Crafts!
No matter what time of year it is, there will be a holiday or a special occasion that is not too far off. If you are looking for a way to entertain the kids and maybe save some money by encouraging them to make home-made or hand crafted gifts check out some of the ideas below.
Some Related Craft Projects
Some craft ideas can be used no matter what the occasion is, the decorations on the finished project may be around a specific theme but the basics of creation will be the same.
For example a Christmas card is made the same way you would make a birthday card. And the process of making a Thanksgiving wreath is going very similar to making a Christmas wreath.
