Cookbook Scrapbook

How about creating a family Cookbook Scrapbook?  If you kids have favourite family recipes you could keep them busy for hours and hours by assisting them to create a scrapbook page for each of the family favourites.

This project makes a great gift! Recipe scrapbooks are becoming increasingly popular with scrapbookers everywhere!

When planning your scrapbook of family recipes, it's a good idea to first decide upon the types of recipes you wish to include. Next, pick different categories of food and finally begin to ask your family members to share their recipes!

Once you have all your recipes together, you can divide them into categories (appetizers, main courses, desserts etc) to create sections within your recipe scrapbook.

Remember:

Plan For Expansion - Cooking scrapbooks should be easy to add to as you develop more recipes. To make this unique scrapbook theme easy to expand - only put one recipe on each page and use a scrapbook album that is easy to add to. This is a great use for the smaller 8x8 scrapbook albums.

When you have planned out each section you (and or the kids) can start planning the design of your pages.

Kid Recipes And Cooking With Your Kids

Cooking with your kids is an excellent way to teach them how to prepare meals. This is a wonderful way to help them become more independent. And, with independence comes more help for you.

Pretty soon, when they get old enough, maybe they can start cooking meals for you!  And if you are making a family cookbook scrapbook, they can test the recipes and take photos for their pages!
